The Army Public School, Sangrur located at Sangrur Military Station caters for the needs of children of army personnel in particular and ex-servicemen in general. The school has gained more importance as there is no Kendriya Vidyalaya located at Sangrur. The school is governed by Army Welfare Education Society (AWES), a registered body to run various army welfare educational establishments started as primary school called Bal Niketan wef 15 Jul 80. Re-designated as Army School wef 01 Jul 91. Army Public School Sangrur got affiliation in 1997. First batch of class X passed out in March 1998. Presently, the school has classes from I to X with a co-education system and has adopted the CBSE syllabus.
